The weekend is a great time to get more activity in. This does not mean that you should try to cram all your physical activity into two, or even day. Trying to get six hours of exercise done at one time is asking for a rip here, a tear there and it’s likely that you’ll be turned off to exercise for the next 2 months.
Cramming workouts in is not fun or healthy.
Instead use the weekend to move in ways that time, or geography won’t let you during the workweek.
Get outdoors and enjoy nature, while walking through it. If you’re a city dweller, this is the perfect chance to get into the burbs and decompress. If you’re a country side dweller, take advantage of what’s in your own backyard, or change it up by heading into the city for the day and walking up and down the streets checking out new sights.
There is a lot do to be active on
weekends and days off and they have nothing to do with stepping foot in a gym. One of the best things about staying active on the weekend is that you’re not in front of the T.V., or the fridge.
