It can be such a letdown when you’re reading a recipe, getting all the ingredients together for a tasty dinner for two, and realize as you read the directions that you’ll need to “carefully fold an egg into the batter”. You’ve never even heard of folding an egg, let alone know how to do it! Just relax; most cooking technique is innate; meaning that it makes sense when you think about it. If you’re asked to fold and egg into batter, it just means that you have to use a smooth flick of the wrist to fold what is in the bottom of the bowl onto the top. It’s as simple as that.

Now cooking can get really fun when you start learning technique to make what you’re already doing more efficient.
